    I’m a pharmacist from the US and I can confidently say you are way more knowledgeable about this than the vast majority of doctors even. I genuinely learned so much, especially regarding the many mechanisms that suppress outer metabolism as we lose weight and calorie restrict. This synthesizes well with some information for low carb advocates regarding the incompleteness of calorie restriction alone but I believe the benefits from the keto diet could be better achieved by simply targeting low glycemic index food, helping to curb hunger and introducing more fiber into the diet.

    Let’s not forget that restriction isn’t power. It’s just disguised as power to make you think that your doing something right, when actually all it’s doing is tearing you down and making you feel worse.

    their issue is there are not enough educated people to be putting out content at all, to be honest. You’ll have people who do things that worked for them and tell everyone to do the same thing they did think that they will get the same results and that’s not always the case. It can be for some people but even then you might not get the exact same results. But for a lot of others, it might not work. we are all genetically different. on top of this, a lot of people putting out information, including influencers with big accounts, don’t know what they are talking about. and when they do stuff like this people, and younger kids latch on to them because they want to look like them. so not only are they getting bad information but they just become focus on looking a certain way. kids need to be focused on being kids and just eat in a healthier manner that s respective to their weight and body until they get older. But with all this being said, some people need to go on diets. they need to reduce caloric intake in order to lose weight. in a perfect world, intuitive eating could work but unfortunately, it doesn’t. and when you take into major consideration someone’s genetics, there are people out there who can get obese ALOT faster than others. while there are other people who find it harder to put on fat. it doesn’t mean they can’t gain weight, it just means their body’s genetic receptors don’t respond the same as everyone is different. so diets are needed, I don’t see an issue with dieting at all as long as they are done properly. if you diet right, then you can still have your energy levels and feel fine. it’s just not reality where people don’t diet and will lose weight.

    Ive always wondered why I feel like I’m constantly hungry and never satifisfied for long after eating.

    Through my teens I boxed at a high level which meant I had to constantly be on a calorie restricted diet so I could make weight. This video has made me realise that this is probably a lot to do with my hunger issues

Obesity causes a permanent decrease in PYY and GLP-1, as well as leptin resistance which persist after the weight is shed, irregardless of the mode of dieting. One way to counter these effects is through exercise (particularly aerobic) as it upregulates PYY and GLP-1 immediately after a bout and after a subsequent meal.

    i like natacha but i dont agree that you dont track tour calorie in take.. you have to do that.. but dont go over board with super deficit calorie in take should be on the healthy level.. if you dont do calorie count you will eat a lot and not knowing how much you have eaten.. remeber good in take is 90% of getting healthy.. more than you need is not safe..

    ive always loved healthy food (and unhealthy food, but not as much) so i find dieting pretty easy! plus, i don’t have much weight i wanna lose (nor do i need to lose weight, just wanna be healthier) and my stomach gets upset easily, mainly from unhealthy foods. so I have a lot of reasons to keep going. but i hope everyone here trying to lose weight or be healthier in general will succeed. it’s not easy, but it gets a lot easier. here’s a tip i have though, call yourself unhealthy instead of fat. fat is usually used as an insult, but unhealthy isn’t used as an insult often. if you think you’re fat, you’ll probably eat more due to the stress and emotions. or you’ll probably undereat. good luck everyone!

    Hello, I’m sorry if I’m disturbing you, Natacha. I’m a teenage girl. I restricted my calories for a week, almost didn’t eat any junk food that i was craving, didn’t eat any bread, only eated a little yogurt, apple, and sometimes a few walnuts. But now I’m binging for 2 days, sometimes junk food, sometimes yogurt, chocolate, bread and everything. I can’t help but think that I’m just trying to find excuses to eat. I’m not overweight (after 2 days of eating so much my tummy got big), but i wanna get toned. What should I do, and does my stricting affects my metabolism? Does my body needs it or I’m just greedy and trying to find excuses?I would be so happy if you answered
