    Unless and until the US Department of Health and the FDA promotes whole food and plant based food and stops subsidizing meat, dairy and sugar, I can’t promote Medicare for all. We can’t afford all the diseases of obesity, it will bankrupt the nation.

    I love Dr Freeman! My husband used to work with him at National Jewish and he turned us onto WFPB eating. 3 1/2 years later we’re still going strong and feeling great! I haven’t checked my cholesterol in a few years, but it initially dropped over 50 points to a healthy range. Thanks for all you do promoting this diet and lifestyle, Dr Freeman.

    I am pretty poor I buy old fashioned oats and eat 6 cups a day and 5 cups of frozen blueberries thawed. I use some stevia

    My go to drink is unsweetened black leaf tea with about a teaspoon of lemon juice in each glass. I cheat & use the squeezable bottles of lemon juice. No artificial sweeteners needed. Not enough juice to do much more than give it a little flavor.

    Look up the FAA warning to Pilots to avoid flying for 8 hours after consuming diet sodas
    The aspartame slows the body’s reflexes. This info was shared by two gentleman from NASA who were investigating unusual private plane accident anomalies. This was several years ago & I gave up diet coke that very day.

    Loved the "datorade" bit there. My favourite fuel for a long run is a couple of dates stuffed with almond butter and sprinkled with a combination of regular iodized salt and potassium salt. So good. Though I once made the mistake of stopping in an offleash area to eat them one time and had a few good boys come out of nowhere to beg for a snack. 😆

    people love the vegan diet at first but that wont last for ever once the nutrition thats stored in your body from years of consuming animals products runs out your be running in to issues with nutritional deficiencies cuasing all kinds of mental health issues then your be faced with doctors mistaking it for other things such as mental disorders the thing is with a vegan diet you get so used to feeling a certain way you forget what it really feels like to feel good the vegan diet is a incomplete diet and doesnt give you all that you need and anyone that say other wise is talkng bs the medical professional doesnt care about your health there only ever promoting agenda for the unseen forces of the darkness everything in this world they say is a invertion of the truth so therefor they want you geting ill not healthy have you ever asked your self why they only promote crap food on billboards not healthy food ? well the reason is they want you to eat slow dealth food and dumbed down and geting ill there gaslighting you and want you to buy in to false realities about your self and the true nature of reality they want you dumb down
    the brain needs a high ratio of omega 3 fatty acids and essential amino acids in order to function properly you cant get that from plants and fruit alone in high enough amount to function right longterm and flaxseeds dont cut it these doctors dont give a dam about your health and now in 2021 doctors and the bill gates foundation are promoting veganism if you want to end up mentally weak and retarded stay vegan plenty of vegan going back to eating animal products and restoring there health that says it all all these people who says they just went the wrong way about it are talking shit and befor long there be face with the same issues

    Good show with great information as usual. I do use tropical oils fairly sparingly and try to make sure they are not only in their virgin form but also from sustainable and fair traded sources. I really enjoy coconut butter.

    You can live comfortably with one income if you can grow or eat real food and keep life healthy.

    If you live leisurely with one income, economy will be destroyed.

    So answer is NO.
    No mass media, politicians, government, ‘healthcare’, and food industry will promote healthy living by boosted immunity from natural habits!

    When I became vegetarian 30 years ago it was not because I was worried about my health, or better, it was related to my health…my heart was bleeding heavily due to compassion for Animals. Today, older and wiser, I became Vegan which benefits Animals even more…May the Universe create more wise and compassionate humans like all of us Vegans.

    No living creature ever took any vitamins or supplements. 102 year old Dr. Fred Kummerow Ph.D in food chemistry and Professor of food science never took any vitamins or supplements for evidence based reasons which were based on his 450 published scientific food research reports. He said that unless you have a poor diet or a specific medical condition then those unregulated vitamins and supplements can do more harm than good. The ones they put in fortified foods are a safer option only if needed.

    I think that if a person, even a type 2 diabetic like me is that if you consume extra virgin olive oil like they have in the Mediterranean, I think it’s 100% fine based on the life longevity in Southern Europe. If people have too go way too strict, the healthy Vegan/Vegetarian diet just may not be sustainable. Our bodies do need fats. To say our bodies do not need healthy fats is not true.

    If you need to refrigerate the food, the next day it is no longer fresh. Shop at a farmers’ market, not a chain supermarket. "Two hours after an orange is picked it has already lost half of its vitamin C." Apples kept in cold storage for 6 months…guess.

    In March of this year (2021) I was 183 lbs and diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and stage 3b chronic kidney disease (CKD) with an A1C of 7.1%. At the suggestion of my SIL, I started following the Exam Room podcast, follow a whole food vegan lifestyle, and am one of the “Roomies”. I just had my first follow up with my internist today (July 2021), and I lost 20 lbs and have an A1C of 5.8%. What PCRM promotes WORKS.

    I eat an whole food plant based vegan diet…haven’t eaten animals in 20 years. No dairy for 11 years. Vegan for three years. I read and listen to videos on plant based no oils I’m considering giving it a try…the only oils I use are Organic EVO cold press(not for cooking) and organic Avocado cold press for sautéing…my question is does cold press make it safer❓
