I didn’t know the British love fried chicken? Is that KFC?

  2. Imperial Leather on January 14, 2022 at 9:28 pm

  3. Aël Le Fur on January 14, 2022 at 9:28 pm

British people eat anything just to feed themselves they don’t value a good meal like in France.

  4. cadavison on January 14, 2022 at 9:28 pm

Calling fried chicken "ultra processed" is absurd. It is unclear through this entire thing what qualifies as "ultra processed." He mentions chemicals… but then also MSG. MSG had literally no negative health effects. This is nonsense.

As pertains to the neurological observations I shan’t be too concerned as your diet clearly can’t have that much on an impact on intelligence, look at the members of our parliament for instance, most of them are sedentary and out of shape and they’re doing a fantastic job… wait…

This literally links poverty and obesity in America. Here you buy what’s on sale and rarely is that anything unprocessed or fresh. Gwyneth Paltrow tried to live off of the average amount of food stamps / assistance given and maintain her healthy diet on solely that amount, needless to say it was unsuccessful. Not one health teacher I ever had in public schools talked about this. In America health is a luxury and it’s some sick twisted game. When you consider the amount of fat shaming propaganda endured by all. You’re set up to fail, and mocked when you do. The mocking would help if it were as informative as this video. People don’t even know, what they don’t know here. As a 4-5 y.o kid I was addicted to fast/junk food and hated myself for years for it. I had no clue it affected my hormones and I had no clue the food was engineered to be addictive and they market it to children? WTAF

Doesn’t really ask the right question or give the right answer though. Could we just use flavour enhancers like potassium sorbate and msg alongside spice extracts etc to flavour healthier foods with a more balanced nutritional values as a way to combat unhealthy eating? I think the new neural pathways must be because this chap just simply eats a bland diet. The increase in body fat etc. Can only be from a calorific Increase which is usually seen when you start eating carbier fattier foods as it’s much easier to cram carbs in when you don’t eat any veg. If he just sprinkled some msg over his normal meals it might not have been so bad. Not sure how the satiety hormones have changed so much, I dont think that would be influenced that much by simply better tasting foods but maybe I’m wrong. I’m thinking maybe the time of day the bloodwork was taken would have a huge influence especially if his meal timings had changed so much

Can anyone point me in the direction of more information/studies on this sort of thing?

  14. Matt C on January 14, 2022 at 9:43 pm

In college.. I ate only processed food and was highly active and healthy. Maybe because I was younger… now I eat right but I dont really feel any different..

  15. DJ on January 14, 2022 at 9:44 pm

Oh stop it, that is never the guy from Operation Ouch!

  16. Chris Diaz on January 14, 2022 at 9:47 pm

This is more about calorie consumption rather than processed foods . Better experiment would have his daily coloring intake remain the same. You can gain weight with unprocessed foods if you eat high calories

  17. Resife on January 14, 2022 at 9:50 pm

The BMI index is so wrong it’s unreal, famous footballers like Shakiri how are immensely fit physically would be classed as over weight because of their body build

  18. Daniel Chen on January 14, 2022 at 9:52 pm

please don’t tell me this is the guy from operation ouch he looks so much older

  19. Kevin on January 14, 2022 at 9:53 pm

The guy gained 15 lbs in 30 days? That’s a lot of weight to put on in a short amount of time. Of course every metric will look worse. How about a show where he changes diet but maintains his weight to take that variable out.

  20. Bruce Parker on January 14, 2022 at 9:53 pm

Moment when you realize that your government has increased the acceptable levels of these chemicals in food so that corporates can make quick cash and so do government makes you more horrified.

  21. silvia costanzo on January 14, 2022 at 9:53 pm

1 out of 5 eats like this. I mean. they don t like vegetables? express cooked pasta? frittata with mushroom? a slice of meat with roasted green beans and potatoes? a salad with iceberd tomato carrot corn and mozzarella or canned tuna? is all of this simply unappealing fot them? is it too pricey?

  22. Amy on January 14, 2022 at 9:54 pm

I recently through no choice of my own (financial) had to switch to making all of my food thus ditching almost all the processed food (now less than 5% of my diet is now processed) and in the last week I’ve gone through hunger and cravings, crankiness, the gas though… so much gas. The tiredness is also a problem but I expect I’ll be through that by next week.

  23. Joe Hetherington on January 14, 2022 at 9:54 pm

Pure privilege. You have no concept of what it’s like to have no choice but to eat these foods.

  24. timothy a on January 14, 2022 at 9:56 pm

bro how is no one realizing this is chris from operation ouch. Wtf he’s like a minor celebrity in Australia for kids and he’s not even an aussie.

  25. Michael on January 14, 2022 at 9:57 pm

We need to start suing the sh** out of American food manufacturers into producing healthy food. They are purposefully using scientists to make their food more hyper-palatable and addictive. I can only imagine the same thing is happening in other countries.

  26. Stanley on January 14, 2022 at 9:58 pm

Stop fearmongering about monosodium glutamate. It’s perfectly healthy, and the rumours that it isn’t literally got started by racists in America who were trying to destroy the Asian takeaway industry.

  30. Frankie's Cycledelic on January 14, 2022 at 10:02 pm

This made me so Hungry!!! Currently I am doing the fast 800 diet!!!!

  31. Ade C on January 14, 2022 at 10:03 pm

Messing up your heart health, immunity function and the never ending unknowns…but that’s enough about the jab

  32. Joe Steduto on January 14, 2022 at 10:06 pm

it would be interesting to know, against the wishes of the food industry I’m sure, which of those chemicals in those long ingredient lists are there for food enhancement and which are there to manipulate hormone levels to "addict" people to their garbage?

  33. GuyDoom on January 14, 2022 at 10:07 pm

    Is he from operation ouch!?!?

  34. Ayesha Nicoochi on January 14, 2022 at 10:10 pm

I would like to know what he specifically thought and believed while eating this food.

  35. Oliver King on January 14, 2022 at 10:11 pm

Not to mention all the addictive mobile phone behaviour

  36. Roxanne M. on January 14, 2022 at 10:12 pm

Still those processed foods in the UK are not as bad as the US ones because ours have ingredients like HFCS, and others prohibited in Europe. Why do you think Americans look the way they do? And guess with what the food hospitals feed their patients?

  37. No Name on January 14, 2022 at 10:14 pm

Well then, that explains my 28kg weight gain when I lived in the U.K. for six months and had to eat what the “normal” household eats for that period meanwhile I usually ate clean and healthy. I’m no longer angry with myself about that weight gain as it’s clear that it’s not solely my fault. Thank you for sharing.

  38. Adolf Izan on January 14, 2022 at 10:14 pm

you don’t have to do an experiment and a doco to know it was going to destroy your health…just saying

  39. Jianfa Tsai on January 14, 2022 at 10:16 pm

"Experts" on their way to be surprised that processed food is addictive and makes you fat. They really don’t teach doctors anything in college besides pushing pills lmao
