Jillian would you make a video about how to get muscles for women while doing workouts only at home without equipment. Actually I’m doing weight training and I’m only using dumbbells. You have done great building this channel

Thanks, Jillian. I took notes on the muscle groups and how to split the workouts. Very helpful to know but missed the input from your bird 😀

I was wondering, I am 45 and have sagging skin on thighs above knees. I know part is aging but I don’t want to buy firming cream(which I don’t think works). How do I target to build muscle to tighten skin in that area? Is it too late? 😂 I have always exercised off an on all my life and in and out of gyms.
Also, how many days a week would it take to see results

Slower progress is better than getting injured and lose all progress and stun your growth for a longtime. It is a very bad place to be.

I know Jillian checks comments cause i see her "loving" some comments and even answering them…for some reason though she never answers questions regarding her 30 DAY SHRED workouts 🤔

Man. That scale is taking the wind out of my sails. I gained a pound. I have highly limited my sugar and carb intake for the last 4 weeks. Done 14-16 hr IF and Started doing intermittent HIIT and weight lifting every other day. And I have freaking gained a pound. I am so frustrated. I can’t sleep through the night because I have a baby and I am 40. I am not going to give up, but I wanna cry.

I had an “aha” moment here. I feel bad not being able to workout like other people or even my past self now being diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis. I have a lot of inflammation and get discouraged if I take a day off training. However, on my good days I feel energetic, focused and have great workouts. Using your app for a few weeks now. I allowed myself to have the “rest days” even though inside I didn’t want to, but it also gave my inflammation a chance to calm down so my next workout I can get right back at it. Great tips Jillian! Down 3 lbs in 2 weeks. Aiming for 1 lb a week until I reach a healthier BMI.

resume of all Jillian videos. It is not a magic bullet. To lose weight we need to count calories, move more, and be patient, resilient, and have focus.

  21. cf on April 14, 2022 at 6:16 pm

david goggins would not do it in the way you are suggesting. its not right for everyone. some people are just intense and need to work out as much as they want. you know…you take too long for what it is you are trying to say. you ramble. you can get to the point and in a cleaner more concise way that meets everyones time demands.

I’m so confused, I just started your 30 day shred and I thought I needed to do a video everyday, so Monday to Friday 🤔

There was another video of Jillian’s where she was talking about recovery too and how often HIIT exercises should be performed a week. According to her recommendation, I had been over doing HIIT in my workouts. I did 2 weeks straight of Tabata style HIIT with 2 rests days on both of those weeks. I was feeling very tired around 7 pm every night during those 2 weeks. I just happened to be going on vacation to Myrtle beach after those 2 intense weeks too. So, I was able to give my body a 4 day rest. With the exception of the 2 days where the motel elevator kept breaking. I had to climb up and down 5 stories of stairs for 2 days. Everyone was out of breath doing it, but me lol. Great warm up though and my quads felt it lol! Anyways, my body was craving sugar during this whole trip and I decided to give in, which was a little unusual for me. I love sweets and sugar, but I stay away from sweets for the most part and eat fruit instead, have a bowl of sherbert, or chew sugarless gum when I have cravings for sweets.
So, between Jillian’s recommendations on how often to perform HIIT workouts a week, my exhaustion, and my sudden craving for sugar prompted me to do a Google search to see why I was so fatigued. I am glad I did too. I learned the difference between anaerobic and aerobic exercise and what your body uses for energy while performing them. No wonder I was craving all that sugar. I still managed to keep on my health and weight loss goals. And, what is so EXCITING, I believe, I inadvertently tapped in to my "fitness" high AKA "runners" high. The first day I went back into my workout routine after my 4 day vacation/rest, I decided to do some hi-low aerobics for an hour. About 35 mins in, I was in heaven and felt my fitness high for a few minutes. I am on my light cardio day today again and I want to see what I can do. I miss those highs, they’re the best! Thanks for your advice Jillian! A little advice here and there goes a long way. I will continue to watch your videos for more fitness and health advice. Also, good heads up on the collagen supplement you recommend. It has the added MSM, glucosamine, and chondroitin for joint benefits that is an absolute must for me with my 10 year old knee injury. So, yeah thanks again for such good info!

What are your thoughts on things like squat challenges? Minimal rest and working the same muscles for sometimes 5 days straight with progressive reps?
