The food revolution – AHS 2011

The food revolution – AHS 2011

Do you want to improve your weight and health by eating real food? With no calorie counting, no diet products, no hunger? This talk from Ancestral Health Symposium 2011 shows you how to do it the natural way.

The epidemics of obesity and diabetes are continuing to spread across the western world. Now we know why. Modern science has revealed our mistake.

The unnecessary fear of natural food has inadvertently caused us to eat more of the new food that can make us hungrier, make us eat more, make us fat.

Ever more people are realizing the mistake and seeing the solution. The food revolution is here. Please help spread the word once you know.

He says eating high fat is better because you end up feeling full and therefore eating less. But what about the fact that fat contains 9 calories per gram, while protein and carbs contain only 4 calories per gram??

  3. Rose Garden on September 30, 2021 at 7:45 am

Industrial food perhaps is the answer to growing obesity, as well as laziness. People stopped cooking. They buy food and therefore have no control of what they are putting in their mouths/stomachs. Bottom line – eat the food you cook yourself from scratch and in moderation. And don’t sit on your butt all day.

  4. Kimberly Cooper on September 30, 2021 at 7:45 am

I expect that gastric bypass surgeries, to solve obesity, will one day become thought of as heinous procedures just as people now concider lobotomies to be heinous.

  5. Paula Gaubert on September 30, 2021 at 7:46 am

Forget about "paleo" it’s nothing to do with "paleo" – in the paleolithic humans lived short miserable violent lives. You’d be lucky if you survived to 18. Can we just call this diet "low-carb/high-fat" please ?

  6. landasn on September 30, 2021 at 7:48 am

You notice that the media hasn’t picked up on this and run with it 24/7. Who owns the media? Why would they not want us to eat ourselves healthy?

  9. Martin Irving on September 30, 2021 at 7:52 am

2019: The standard mainstream message is still to avoid saturated fat. (All the media and medical articles continue to double down on this advice)

Take look at the MyPlate. website. Nothing could be more confusing or full of obfuscation. Eating food shouldn’t be that difficult or complicated. And therein lies a big part of the problem. A lot of things marketed as food aren’t really fit for human consumption.

The challenge going forward is delivering a message that is clear, accurate, and can be communicated through the standard channels. This is virtually insurmountable in the current empire of bullshit we live in, and it will only continue to get worse.

I have seen a video, where a Dr is saying that chronic high levels of insulin cause inflammation of arterie walls, eventually lesions form, and then Cholesterol comes to fill the lesions, causing plaque build up, and eventually causes the issues they are blaming the Cholesterol for.

The Americans have a tendency to take food apart, then adding the parts back. It’s insane, but that’s how they make money!

This man is very confusing. He said america is fat cuz of processed foods most of which he mentioned were high fat foods and that other high carb skinny countries were skinny due to eating high carb whole food. Well if it is just a matter of replacing your food with whole food carbs then how did he make a leap towards high fat?

  17. Mike Driscoll on September 30, 2021 at 8:00 am

Great presentation! The low carb, low sugar diet worked for me. Lost 30 lbs and managed to eliminate over $20,000 per year of medication for arthritis.

There is no money if people are not sick. Big pharma, the FDA, Healthcare companies, and industrial farm operations don’t want  people to be healthy.

Somebody needs to tell the first guy with a question that Q&A’s are for the speaker to respond to questions, not to use up a bunch of time telling stories about yourself.

what im laughing at this point is that all asians who migrates to europe or america they gained weight, why is that becaouse they eat more rice or so . I don t think so. I have a wife from indonesia since she came to europe her skin start having problems with pimpels and getting weight up. And i said the reason is the food she eats in europe is full of fat nothing based on rice and starches. Since she start doing oposite eating the same food as in asia her skin became normal and her weight start getting down. So all this researches people doing it are just waste of time. Just take a look the nations – asians are mostly skiny and daily they eat lots of rice and vegetables, but low protein content, they eat meat just for taste on the top of rice but mostly is rice rice and rice based foods. I lived in asia for about 2,5 years and i became almost anorexic, even now im so fit and lean that i need to be carefull. I eat so much food as one 4 member family. I don t eat from plate but from big spade plates. And i don t gain weight. So i think nature shows whats right and what not. So people open the eyes around you who is fat the one who eats fruit- does it mean all people in america are fat becaouse the yare all on fruits – i don t think so.

Anti-fans of Low Carbs fuck off. I bought this book Low Carbs High Fat Food Revolution by Dr Andreas Eenfeldt and it really works as long as you don’t cheat. Those who said that it’s not working maybe because they cheat or not doing it at all. 😝

People who aren’t or haven’t been keto-adapted should probably refrain from commenting negatively about LCHF or ketogenic diets if they don’t want to sound like morons…just hatin, and sayin.

I’m a type 2 diabetic and after 3 weeks of low carb higher fat I am off my insulin. And never was I hungry and all my aches and pains of my body are gone, My ears and eye are clear and my mind fog is gone. My asthma went away and my body sensations of hunger, fullness, need to pee, and such are working again. Very thankful for this way of eating and I truly believe you need to eat real food not processed too much is hidden in the processed foods.

LCHF/Ketogenic for 3.5 months now. Lost ~9-10-kgs and my ex-lecturer (whom I meet very seldom) says I look a heck of a lot younger! Blood sugars have also normalized, albeit being in the higher normal range 🙂

  43. Valentin Tihomirov on September 30, 2021 at 8:28 am

This is a total crap. I do not believe that this is a real doctor. It looks like a commertial crap. At first, proposing cholesterol in place of sugar is crap. People should understnad that plant oil is liquid at room temperature and, thus, does not contain cholesoerol. You should prefer plant oil because it is environmentally much cheaper than animal fat. Meat kills you and teh environment. Secondly, this piece of crap says nothing about Glycemic_index. It says that there are two classes of sugar: the fast dissolving sugar which causes large spike of sugar in your blood as soon as you eat it. Normally when you say sugar you mean that kind of carbs. But there are also slowly discharging polysugars, pearl barley, for instance. It does not produce the spike of sugar and keeps your batteries on for a long time after the breakfast. You should eat pearl barley instead of rice or pasta or sugar or bread or meat. Real doctor would say you that. But this is not real doctor. This is a freak.

here’s a tip, learn from people following the previous fad and dont jump on the new one. have a balanced diet and exercise. people need to learn the difference between causality and correlation.

I have started eating like this 2 weeks back,I already lost 2 kg and have much more energy!!Best of all is that I do not get any cravings for any carbs and I’m always satisfied!!

Regarding the Ancestral Health part – which one of you knew that our distant ancestors did not consume dairy, therefore they could not eat butter, the highest fat cottage cheese or drink milk as this doctor recommends? They did not have high fat diet, they had high protein diet, also consuming eggs (which are naturally low fat), their game was lean and they also ate quite high amounts of wild plant foods, which contained significantly more secondary plant compounds, having protective effect on health, than we get in the modern cultivated crops today. Yet this doctor endorses the diet which is low in plant food but high in fat of all sources – calling this natural, healthy and even Paleo. Recommending this diet to cure civilization diseases, focusing only on body weight, diabetes and perhaps lipoproteins, while ignoring the proven risk of cancer due to high animal products consumption, is a heresy. And although I have a lot to contradict about the content presented by Dr Lustig, I express my respect to him for coming forward, challenging this doctor with the actual data and making him look like what he actually is – presenter of opinions, or at least one-sided facts, not the whole truth about the complexity of the relationship between the diet, our genes and health. About one in seven currently living hunter-gatherer tribes have diets which is dominated by plant foods, not animal foods and definitely not animal fats. And they do well, too. They live naturally, eat naturally and they have a lot of exercise. I would very much like to see how their health would be affected when going on the diet this doctor recommends while adopting our current lifestyle.

  49. tinez39 on September 30, 2021 at 8:37 am

I’m into Paleo, but with growing world population, eating organic paleo isn’t possible as there would be not enough food to feed the whole world population. It’s possible to feed the world with starchy carbs to prevent the hunger. Said but true. Unless we all become cannibals which is not the option. Any solutions? Please advise…
