I closed all my Apple Watch activity rings every day for a year

Recently I noticed that I closed all of my Apple Watch activity rings every day for a year, so I figured I would make a video talking about the pros and cons of the activity tracking features. Thanks for watching and I’ll see you on Tuesday 🙂 (sorry headphone users if the music is a little loud)

Closing an activity ring with a 400 calorie goal is ridiculous. That’s not a proper workout. Anyone can do that. This video is laughable

I close my stand ring almost every day because I’m on my feet all day at work, but I can never manage to close my move and exercise rings

Couldn’t get through the whole video. The music was so loud it got distracting and annoying

Have you had to manually add any workouts?

Saying you closed your rings is vague. What is your activity goal in terms of calories? I’ve had the Apple Watch 4 and 5, and they both default to only 500 calories unless you change it.

With the exercise minutes, I’m pretty confidence it logs it based on your heart rate aswell. So if you’re filming and being quite expressive and energetic, that does actually burn calories so it’s not completely in accurate 🙂 x

I don’t get why you don’t have more subs.

I have been Apple Watch user since November of 2016. I have not been able to close all of my rings for a year straight. I am making that my goal in 2020. I am good about closing my rings when I work which is Monday-Friday. But on Saturday and Sunday is when I lack the most and never close rings all the way. This year I want to get perfect 365 of closing my rings.

I’ve been wearing a thin Fitbit for 4 years and I have the dip on my arm. I think the muscle would fill in if we stop wearing the watches lol. I’m not worried about it. Glad to know I’m not alone tho! Love my new Apple Watch 5

Cute : ) thanks. I just got one. Series 4. Hope I can do the same.

Stumbled upon this as I’m planning an ambitious January for myself. Previously had 200+ days which I lost at the mercy of a stomach bug 🤮. Good video and I subscribed!

I just got an apple watch for christmas and trying to close all my rings 🙂 thank you for the inspiration

  28. Peter D on August 5, 2021 at 10:55 pm

You cant change your stand or exercise goal, only move goal….so glad you kept it at 30 and 12 lol🙄

Love my series 3 since I got it. Not the newest now but does what I need. I change mine depending on the circumstances of the day. Though I made a little stationary workout to fill the one I have the most trouble with, the green ring. Standing is relatively easy for me, and the red is easy lol.

Awesome video! As a 13 year old kid I’m saving up to buy and Apple Watch series 5 by the end of summer 2020, I hope to do the ring challenge for a whole month and hopefully a whole year. Edit: I’m also going to try and do 45 minutes of exercise a day
