This kinda explains why most Japanese pornstars are so flabby looking, even though they’re not fat per se… there’s just no tone ness or definition
In bangladesh, it’s rate zero percent 🥴
I always tot Japanese must be really strong cuz mist anime characters are not very buff but atleast lean with six pack 🥺
Hmm… was feeling a little down today, and was thinking of skipping my workout today, but reading the comments made me want to do it. Thanks, youtube!
I am a foreigner from Canada and have been in Tokyo for 4 days now. I cant find a gym that will accept me as a member or anywhere that sells protein.
Japanese work too much. Period. And martial arts is HUGE in Japan, why wouldn’t Athletics be huge also. Such a contradiction.
the school theory is stupid. australia doesnt really have these high school sports or gyms and the industry is just as big here. obviously not on the whole because we have a smaller population but adjusted for population im sure its even bigger.
Coming to Japan soon. Any gyms in Tokyo?
You are the best ! Peace
You guys walk walk walk which is awesome.
Nobita ~ the first girl you spoke with is cute:) Let’s get her to go on a run or to the gym!! You are the best!
There’s no life work balance in Japan and that’s probably why gyms arent that popular there.
7:32 then a year later corona screwed everything up.
I really hope the work culture in Japan tones down a little bit…..People not only have less time to be human but are even commiting high rates of suicide and the birthrates are lowering in Japan due to so much overworking. Its good to be productive but not too much…
P.S. I have such high respect for Japan and its people, they are so clean and moral. Such an amazing country.
6:55 older Japanese views i feel hopefully the younger ones change there views to a more accepting ones allowing you to work on your self w out judgement
You should’ve interviewed boxers and mma fighters as well. Those guys enter a whole nother level of conditioning.
i was a fucking skinny 30 years of my life, then i know the gym i loved and i will never leave again! i hope all mexicans, americans and japanese try it cuz is the best of this live, YOU RULE! when you are strong! and japanese ppl need gym to distress of his work, its necessary to not kill himselves…

I also don’t go to gym, doing exercise at home at my own pace
Thank you so much for this video! I’m a personal trainer in Minnesota, USA and I’ve always been curious about the perspective of fitness in other countries!
Japanese needs to realize that going to the gym makes your body look more sexually appealing and healthy too
All you need is a space and a good Yoga instructor – poor American is 30 years behind the times – since 2019, National Football League teams make their talent do Yoga.
that white dude works out because hes tiny. hes smaller than the japanese guy. i dont know what sport he woulda played. looks like he weighs 140lbs
So America has many gym memberships but the American tourists in my country are really obese. It’s understandable that many of them go to the gym because SAD (Standard American Diet) is excessively carnist. Glad I’m vegan since 1997, l stay in shape without exercise.
I used to work for an American company based here and my American superiors weren’t used to the heat and humidity here so they sweated profusely. Due to their obesity and carnist diet, their body odor was indescribable especially whenever I entered their offices and their B.O. really filled the room.
Jajajaa neta? Te llamas bonita? Jajajajaja creo que suscribire a tu canal solo por tu nombre 😂✌️
whats up with the dog tags tho.. tuck that ish in.
Im from the US. More people go to the gym here because we are superficial and obsessed with looks. Its not even about health for most people. Can’t tell you how many times I’d see these huge buff men walk out from the gym and immediately light up a cigarette. Same with many of the women. So IMO, America is a very shallow country and the majority of gym rats are there solely to look fit. They couldn’t care less if they’re healthy.
Plus I will add many Americans try to counteract their horrible diets with hard exercise. They will eat absolute junk all the time but workout hard 2 hours a day to "make up for it". Japanese people tend to eat healthier so theres no need to do that
I’m entirely shocked this channel exists…. and popped up “trending”. Plus I’m intrigued. 🤔
If japan were more active, I HIGHLY BET the percentage of population with depression would decrease
Mm. Here in Spain fitness is also often recommended as a way of helping with depression. It is a healthy way to release endorphins and adrenaline which help to improve your mood, and it also creates a sense of accomplishment which is also good for mood and self-esteem. Gym definitely helps me with my mood.
is it working culture, what stops u be fit, or drinking culture to be lose? u dot need gym to do workout. no challenge no fun.
is macho man about muscularity or mental set up ?
"I found that people who are self-taught often fail"
Idk about the Japanese on this but in the West it’s so common to do self-learning without needing to pay or paying just for resources. And sometimes it works even better than with a professor since you go at your own rythm and you don’t have any pressure.
As someone who didn’t particularly take to any exercise until finding weight training as a freshman in high school, I can definitely relate to the people in the beginning of the video who were like, ‘I don’t go to the gym’ and ‘I don’t like to move my body’. Expense, time, and whether you enjoy it or not are big factors in whether you will do exercise. As I get older, I’m not so much into the pushing myself and my limits as much as it is to improve my fitness, build/maintain strength, and generally be healthy.
Kind of curious if there is any manner of yoga culture in Japan. I’ve tried a couple hard style martial arts (Wu Shu and Kung Fu) and found even from doing Tai Chi that Yoga (Iyengar style) is sooo much safer on your joints. Also, how common are physical therapists?
great content!
Gym membership is wayyyy more expensive in Japan.
Nobitaさんはじめまして。私は本当にNobitaさんのビデオを見るのが好きです。ありがとうございます。
Its called football 🙂
Wtf
@NobitaFromJapan , 8:06 , this girl is flirting with you.
I don’t go to a gym in Japan because the Japanese gyms are awfully too well-mannered. I can’t stand being silent while working out
Nice video Nobita.
i think it s mostly because japanese have such bad genetics for working out. i think very low on testosterone but high on oestrogen?
I tried to continue lifting when I visited Japan last year, but no gym was willing to work with me, even the Anytime Fitness branch. In America and many other places, you can pay $5 or $10 a day if you just want to drop by and keep your program going.
Never trust a dude wearing leggings.
how about those martial arts gyms? Is it common to do martial arts in japan? Are martial arts popular among teenagers and young people?
Not even working out, already the *longest living human race* in the World. Wait till they started working out.
Thank you for covering this, I just signed up for a college course that will require a semester in Japan and being able to workout at a gymn was 1 of my concerns.
the word "macho" has been dead for 35 years in the Western English Language. Awful word.
Fitness culture started in America in 1960s when Arnold shwartzneggar came to the US and everyone wanted to be like him.
I thought Japanese gyms were filled with Pokémon?
