  3. J Comm on October 10, 2021 at 10:08 am

Sweetened cereal + plastic soda bottles, ground zero of the obesity explosion.

  4. innocentrage1 on October 10, 2021 at 10:08 am

I thought jello salad had fruit in it, not an actual salad

  5. Kurt Franklin on October 10, 2021 at 10:08 am

I would love to see will do the Steve Reeves diet

  6. Dusk Wolf on October 10, 2021 at 10:12 am

The sad fact is you could never do a proper 1950’s diet because the ingredients in where not the same as today in processed foods. TV dinners also where bought in metal containers instead of plastic so they where cooked in the oven. So I guess this is the closest you could get.

  7. Bryanna Barber on October 10, 2021 at 10:12 am

    Why are you so attractive

  8. manbost on October 10, 2021 at 10:13 am

the 50s no.1 fitness trend was meth! great for weight loss and provides long-lasting energy!

  9. Abel Tesfaye on October 10, 2021 at 10:14 am

Your shirt in the beginning of the video🥺

  10. Linda Allen on October 10, 2021 at 10:16 am

I grew up in the 50s but most of what you showed, other than the terrible TV dinners, were things my kids grew up with, not me. We played monopoly, parcheesi, Chinese checkers, and scrabble. My kids played Yahtzee. There were no Eggos at our house – my mother cooked waffles as did I. Maybe my friends and I were a decade behind lol.

  11. Tess S on October 10, 2021 at 10:16 am

Lol. They didn’t have cashew milk back then… milk was delivered in big glass bottles to your door… by the milkman

  12. David David on October 10, 2021 at 10:16 am

Take those hula hoop moves in the bedroom lol

  13. Memento Bellum on October 10, 2021 at 10:19 am

Pineapple does not belong on pizza. You are plain and simply wrong! xD

  14. Morgan Elise on October 10, 2021 at 10:19 am

“So that just shows me why I never danced in university on the dance floor and why I’m incredibly awkward.” I’m offended. 🙃

  15. Lygia Bird on October 10, 2021 at 10:20 am

Wait when did Katie stop being a vegan?

  16. Marc Wittkowski on October 10, 2021 at 10:21 am

Fun fact: the 89 cents meal would cost over 8$ after adjusting for inflation.

  17. SongLog on October 10, 2021 at 10:23 am

    I loved that intro!!

  18. Tiberius on October 10, 2021 at 10:23 am

  20. Andrew Bingham, Jr. on October 10, 2021 at 10:24 am

A box of pizza was 2.00? For a large. 🤔

  21. Hydyho on October 10, 2021 at 10:24 am

Girl! Jello has gelatin in it which is bone marrow which is most definitely not vegan or even vegetarian. I’m always surprised that most people are not aware of this.

  22. yamyammaot on October 10, 2021 at 10:26 am

Oh no. This is the first video ive watched without Ollie. 😣

  27. Brian James on October 10, 2021 at 10:29 am

I can’t help but notice that even though you are a Canadian, you still refer to American culture when talking about 50s, 80s, and 90s culture. Is there no Canadian culture? Or did American culture spread to Canada and become Canadian culture?

  28. Stephanie Kendra on October 10, 2021 at 10:31 am

    Cashew milk probably didn’t exist

  29. Stacy Schweigler on October 10, 2021 at 10:31 am

  33. Jack on October 10, 2021 at 10:39 am

I misread this as following 1650s fitness

  34. Denise on October 10, 2021 at 10:39 am

  35. Cooper Gillespie on October 10, 2021 at 10:42 am

  36. MAMAJHONS on October 10, 2021 at 10:43 am

Brings me back to when I would burn myself on the TV dinner brownie

  37. Bryan Charron on October 10, 2021 at 10:44 am

Obviously never been poor if you don’t get the hungry man desert lol. Nothing against that.

  38. Luke Gober on October 10, 2021 at 10:44 am

It would be cool if you did one where you did food from video cames like a full day of eating from foods from Fallout.

  39. Maribel Quesada on October 10, 2021 at 10:45 am

Years ago I would’nt just smear “margarine” on, I would besure each square was packed, those were the days

  40. Miss Tawny Jedi on October 10, 2021 at 10:48 am

I think those bizzaro jello concoctions were invented so the housewife could use “whatever she had in the cubboard “ to save money. Also jello was cheap and a new novelty. Also could be a result of giving women Valium so they would calm down….”mothers little helper” was introduced during this era. Like T. V. dinners.

  41. Sean Melissa on October 10, 2021 at 10:49 am

Oh Will—I’m 50 and I’ve never heard of anything like that jello salad you made. I love your videos, but that was distressing. Tuna and jello and lettuce and onions? That’s the plot of an 80’s horror movie.

  42. Anym on October 10, 2021 at 10:51 am

"is it vegan" it’s gelatine sooooooo no

  43. JohnnyMartini on October 10, 2021 at 10:54 am

Confirmed, the world really was black and white back then

  44. Michelle Ocean on October 10, 2021 at 10:54 am

Research the history of Dr. Kellog. And his motivation behind a grain based diet.

  48. newyork4311 on October 10, 2021 at 10:59 am

I’m also a 90s kid and ate eggos/frosted flakes for breakfast lol.

  49. Anym on October 10, 2021 at 11:00 am

11:37 wait isn’t that a sit up instead of a crunch?

  50. Chidera Onukwufor on October 10, 2021 at 11:02 am

Still trying to figure out if this kid is a psychopath or not
