    The FITSPOS is my FAVORITE part. I used to volunteer at the LA Fit Expo. It seems to be a lot easier to get a sponsor than it used to be. This whole ambassador deal seems to be a money maker for the companies because it allows them to sell a package of merchandise and leaves the hope of selling at a discount up to you. No thanks. I spend enough time in the gym, preparing food, working, sleeping, eating etc. To add 2 hours of social media video editing, perfect pics etc is too much. My wife can compliment how I look. I dont need thousands of people to validate my self esteem. I also switched to powerlifting instead of bodybuilding because I was not having fun anymore after I left California. In the end its my life and my gym time and no one is going to do it for me. Nothing but love for doing what works for you. I am not here to criticize.

    Hi Layne big fan of yours. Forgive me if I missed a video you’ve done in the past on this. But I am interested in avoiding cancer, heart disease, dementia, and pretty much just want to be superhuman. All jokes aside. The problem I’m having now is I start a diet and then always see some bullshit that says what I’m doing is harmful to my body and I quit and say well I’ll start again later and later never comes and I gain more weight. Is there in your opinion an optimal diet that the body thrives with that will protect you from any disease? Or am I nieve and living in fantasy land, where the reality is there is no way to be resilient to disease?

    I pretty much instantly lost 100+ subscribers because for the past year or so I’ve been talking about keto on my YouTube channel, so my audience is primarily keto based, and a few days ago I posted a video on how I’m no longer keto, continuing to lose weight, and how it’s NOT a magic diet, and how energy balance/calories is the biggest contributor to body comp. I got so many thumbs-downs and KICKBACK and negative comments simply because I shared some science that didn’t confirm their bias. I didn’t say keto was bad…I just said it’s not SUPERIOR for fat loss

    It’s crazy how diet-cults work…. I’ll be the first to admit I was in the keto-cult train (and I won’t take down those older keto videos of mine because it was a big part of my journey) but now that I have some damn root vegetables and rice in my meals ppl think I’m "an alcoholic who fell off the wagon" (yes I was literally told that…. for eating a carb…)

    So if anyone wants to have fun with keto-zealots – peep some of the comments in my latest video 😂

    LIKED the vid. Another truth telling segment from "The Great Doc Norton"….The only thing I would criticize is that the "Atkins Diet" is a bit different than the "Keto Diet"…The Atkins Diet is protein heavy (namely animal protein) while the Keto Diet is fat heavy….So even though they are both a form of low carb dieting one is protein centered while the other is fat centered…Other than that I agree with everything you’ve stated in this vid…Keep calling out the BULLSHIT Layne, while telling the people what they NEED TO HEAR, even if it’s not what they "want to hear". DEUCES!

    Yeah the only reason I "intermittent fast" is that I’m not hungry in the morning so it works well for me. And I’m shit at calorie counting so cutting an entire meal helps with the calorie deficit. If fasting has other "magical" effects, cool. If it doesn’t it’s fine too.

    I like (TRF) Time Restricting Feeding. I only eat from 8:00am to 6:00pm Not just for fitness but for overall health. If your goal is to be a Top level Bodybuilder, then this TRF may not be for you. For Physique and everything else this works great.

    I flirted with a keto diet for a while until I learned that it did not give me enough energy to keep up my habit of doing intense cardio. As I looked into what the zealots were saying some more, it was all about endurance exercise and how wonderful it was to burn fat as fuel in long, slow cardio sessions. I am more on an explosive end – I like to throw in sprints and push my body hard, and I need the carbs for quick energy bursts. Although I did find some great recipes for cookies and other deserts made with erythritol instead of granulated sugar so I can indulge my sweet tooth and not feel like I am a bad person later because I was naughty.
