Hi Kara! I’ve been ketovore for a couple years and I’ve never felt better! Keto,ketovore,carnivore it’s not a trend it been around for hundreds of years ! People have had such health benefits from it your just hearing about it more ! I’ve personally know people who have reversed diabetes,Lyme ! I actually went on it to loose weight in my early 50s and had all these health benefits it became a lifestyle for me and my husband! I’m now 57 my husband is 62 neither of us are on prescription medication and we can run circles around most 30 yrs olds that are on prescription meds! I’m been a subscriber for years and just love you Jason and Bruce Wayne! I’m only speaking from my own personal opinion!
OMG! I LOVE YOU KARA!!!! THANK YOU FOR SPEAKING OUT ON THE KETO DIET!!! I had at least 4 medical doctors say STOP DOING IT. It is the WORST diet especially if you have IBS, stomach issues, no gallbladder, sensitivity to foods, etc. I don’t know what Doctors are prescribing it but like I said 4 doctors have told me to STOP unless I want to lose my kidneys. 2 of them are general practitioners, and the other 2 were gastroenterologists. Please go ahead and do a bigger video. The butter, oils, and fats going through your system will kill you! It is NOT long-term healthy for you and it is NOT safe. You can get pancreatitis leading to cancer because of the large amount of fat that is boosted into your blood. Kidney stones are a well-noted potential side effect of the ketogenic diet. Guess what happens if you keep having kidney stones? YEP. Kidney damage and then good luck getting a new kidney. Cross your fingers that your health insurance is GOOD. My doctor said the WORST thing you can do is get on keto if you have no gall bladder. Period.
No form of diet g is done effortlessly or else you wouldn’t have an audience… regardless of what pol say … i had over my limit if carbs and besides the water weight it actually hurt physically the inflammation is real and thats why I do it

A little sad to see keto on in here but that is ok!! I intermittently do a bodybuilding-style dairy free keto during dieting phases also let me tell you…when I am in ketosis I feel absolutely incredible. Fantastic energy, I can think clearly, no mood swings or getting hangry. With that said, I understand that i am very much in the minority here. I believe most people do best with more carbs in their diet. The only reasons I don’t do keto year round is it’s not lifestyle friendly and it is so restrictive. Enjoying good food and good drinks with family and friends is important to me. I think keto can be beneficial for the right person IMO.
And eating 6 times a day can’t be good either, right? But I didn’t hear you address that. I mean stop feeding at some point, right? 🧐
I used to be in the "make keto die" school. However, with a high dosage of a name brand prescription along with trying many diets to quell inflammation due to a diagnosis of Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, I read Dr. Sara Gottfried’s "Women, Food, and Hormones." She gives her recommendation (known as the "Gottfried Protocol") which begins with a very clean keto approach for the short-term, then transitions into a more Mediterranean approach. I experienced such relief in just the first week of the keto process: the mental clarity, loss of inches (I don’t use a scale!), and my sleep improved incredibly. It definitely changed my perspective of the keto diet overall, but I do agree that sustainability is questionable. Transitioning into the Mediterranean way of eating will allow this to be more sustainable. Thanks for this video and for all of your research and comments!

Thank you so much Kara for your summation. I have been carnivore for 9 months and have cured skin issues , hormone issues and a long list of age related issues. Hair has grown thick, skin looks radiant and major muscle tone rebuilt with no change in workout routine If someone is fed up and can commit it will transform their health Thanks again for all you do.

This is why macros makes the most sense to me. Eating mostly Whole Foods 90% of the time. Add minimally processed natural foods when needed. Aim to eat mostly organically grown and humanly raised food is paramount. And simply measure portions. Limit sugar and simple starches. It’s so simple… it’s just not so easy.
Measuring the amount of foods is the “secret” . Depending on needs and goals it’s effective and straight forward.
Make meals from whole food, natural ingredients and call it a day.
I hate that we humans complicate things so much. Such an exhausting thing we do to ourselves.
Anyway, one good thing regarding “diets” / food that went on during 2021 was the mushroom craze in my opinion. And the fermented foods. Now I became a kimchi master. Love that! And I love my mushroom powder for this hot chai latte that I make!!

I feel like the whole 30 is not a diet that you do for weight loss. I feel like it is more for digestion or medical issues to try and see if you feel better without a certain food or group.
It is so strict I wouldn’t even want to do it because you have to add in foods one at a time or how are you going to know what irritates you

Are you referring to these diets as weightloss fads. Because some "fad" diets are proven to reverse type 2 diabetes, fatty liver and reduce inflammation.

There is nothing wrong with the actual keto diet. But the real keto diet that people use seizures is supervised by a doctor. And what people are doing as the "keto diet" isn’t real keto a lot of times for one thing and isn’t supervised by a doctor which is scary.

To add to my previous comment! I’ve had problems with constipation my whole life being on ketovore has ended that and I’m so happy! Planning meals it’s so easy it takes the wondering what are we having for dinner tonight! In fact if I eat to many vegetables I’m constipated ! Lowered my cholesterol and blood pressure to! This is only my experience!

Keto!! Tried it for 3 months and it was the worse diet I’ve ever been on. Made me so sick! It’s probably good to do if you have actual medical issues where you need to be on it though. Just not for regular folks!

If something works, why does it need to die? Why does someone need to be on Keto for 50 years as you say as proof that something is sustainable? FYI – Carbs are not essential. Sorry that you can’t handle that . Keep pushing that SAD diet that is based on no science and has resulted in 70% people overweight in the US, 33% obese and 85% metabolic syndrome.

Hated keto, it was too hard to maintain and during my boxing training I didn’t have enough energy….switched back to a more Paleo ish diet felt better….but I prefer to just flexible diet..co concentrating on meat, vege, fruit limit processed foods. Works long term for me.
