Are these sources and claims still relevant in 2021? Has everything changed since then?

Well what would you rather have? Expensive Health care that gets you immediate treatment, or inexpensive/free health care that you have to wait weeks or even months for, which by the way can dramatically increase your chances of dying depending on what it is you’re setting up an appointment for?

This video aged like a fine milk, according to a 2020 report on Pubmed (PMCID: PMC7292524), Canadians wait upwards of 175 days to see a doctor (78 days average) with 1 in 10 not even making it to that appointment. Meanwhile in the US, according to The 2017 Survey of Physician Appointment Wait Times and Medicare and Medicaid Acceptance Rates, the average wait time in the US is just 18.5 days.

I’m Canadian and I feel extremely fortunate to be able to access our universal health care system. Your video captures everything I know and have experienced over the years, and I can’t recall meeting anyone here who feels differently. I’m baffled at the negative opinions that seem to abound in the discourse south of our border. I really feel for those in the U.S. whose financial or employment situation precludes access to healthcare.

The Pincher Creek Alberta hospital used covid swabs as an excuse for me not to monitor my 73 year old mothers care; where 4days prior I had a negative swab, with no covid contact to the day of witnessing my mothers poor care with an IV, today!  She was convulsing and shaking extensively, very prominent.  Therefore, I asked what she had been given with her IV.  Where nothing for her muscle intake nor brain relief!
I had to persist unrelenting.  In order for her to have one adivan.  No further along, much of her shaking and unsteady gait, had resided.
This shows the incapacity of medication care and the means to cover up this malpractice, with doctor directive under nurse authority to hide abuse!

I am scared for my mom and the abuse she is to endure, without adequate attention to her right for specialist care and proper treatment.
I have further witnessed self inflicted pain that has seemingly become a practise for suffering and alliance abuse.  With my family abuser and my moms family doctor.  I believe these are symptoms of suicide.  Where signs and symptoms are used as a sign of mental health wellness.  And this wrong!  The source of poor health with the need for treatment, is denied and the actual cause is overlooked, as a means for nursing care comfort.

The Pincher Creek hospital is over runned with money making schemes, through over extended hourly wages, and low activity on the job conditioning.
I am appalled as a common regular community member, to witness such cruel and unusual punishments, with profuse controllive tactics.  To adhere to even proving my own incapacity for reason, right in the ER!!
My family doesn’t know about medical care policy and procedures, nor have many people gone to medical school, where common practise is a reasonable factor.

To treat the rural community in equal populous to the sectioned city populous numbers, like there us any difference in need and resource access, with specialist level care.  Is very inadequate.

And there is clearly a pattern to use personal funds for grand wages with long durations of hourly income.  Rather than, on site specialist appointments and consultations.  That would give the Health centre and Hospital care, appropriate exposure and development.

  16. Andrew on November 26, 2021 at 5:02 pm

this is just pathetic. the answer isn’t more regulation and straight up collectivism, the answer is getting government completely out of healthcare except for laws that protect against things like malpractice or intentionally killing someone in a medical setting, so that people are free to pay for whatever they want, if they want high quality care, great, if they can afford it, if they want better priced care, then great, if they are willing to sacrifice a bit of quality that is completely possible. the laws of supply and demand don’t stop with healthcare, whenever there is demand, supply will follow, unless you live in a bureaucratic shit hole with zero transparency, countless real monopolies, public options that everybody always pays for no matter what which leaves them with less money to be able to afford better healthcare, while supplying demand with zero competition in that price range due to people already having a default option. thats without mentioning the dangerous collectivist, identiterian precedent that sets.

My Cancer journey began when I found a small lump in one of my breasts. I immediately called my primary care doctor, but she wasn’t alarmed. Still, I knew the lump wasn’t normal.
About 30 days later, on New Year’s Eve, I saw another specialist. I got a mammogram and, on the same day, received a call to schedule an additional ultrasound and biopsy—they had found a mass in my breast and armpit that was spreading towards my lymph nodes. I was diagnosed with breast cancer stage 3
My treatment consisted of eight rounds of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. I also had surgery to remove as much of the mass as possible. But the pain was still there I went through hell that period I never want anyone to experience what I went through. My life changed the day one of my local doctors told me to try herbal medicine and he introduced me to Dr Harvey, whom I contacted and told him everything happening to me. He asked me some few questions and told me to purchase his products which I did. Followed his instructions and today I can proudly say I’m totally cured and free forever All thanks to God and Dr Harvey for giving me a second to live I have changed my life and happy now.
You can contact Dr Harvey on

Canada’s healthcare system is based on denial. They treat you like a liar in hopes you will stop trying to recover. I tried to get an MRI in Alberta for a decade, I had to move to BC to get the MRI, which has now proved my workplace injury. WCB has also denied my every workplace injury claim (9/9 claims denied). I assume that I will be fighting WCB for the rest of my life.
-I hate the Canadian healthcare system and am now looking at ways to leave this corrupt country.

I already gave up on ever getting cured of HPV because i have tried many treatment, none of them work out for me.I have been to different hospital, they always tell me same thing that there is no cure for HPV, when i came across a post about Dr Eguabor on instagram from a lady called Rebecca,i contacted her and she reassured me with his herbal medicine which i took according to the way he instructed, that’s how i was cured. I doubted at first because i have been to a whole lot of reputable doctors, tried a lot of medicines but none was able to cure me,so i decided to listen to him and he commenced treatment, and under 21 days i was totally free from HPV. I want to say a very big thank you to DR Eguabor for what he has done in my life. Feel free to leave him a message on email dreguabor@aol.com and also WhatsApp him +2348107439905. He can still be able to help you with this herbs medicine:HIV cure,ALS cure,Diabetes cure,Epilepsy,HSV,LUPUS,HEPATITIS B,Cancer cure etc..

  23. Sylvius the Mad on November 26, 2021 at 5:08 pm

Canada’s wait times are largely a consequence of government opposition to private provision of advanced services.

All Canadian jurisdictions permit private medical centres for GPs, and those remain publicly-funded, but most resist publicly-funded surgeries or diagnostic machines (such as MRIs) in private facilities.

This insistence of public-provision of publicly-funded services exacerbates the wait time problem.

They don’t need to spend more. Just relax their ideology a little

as a Canadian I think we should examine other systems like France the UK and Australia , they are ranked higher and still provide universal coverage and have lower costs per capita I think, always looking to improve!, I wouldn’t even bother looking at the US system

  26. Sean Dougan on November 26, 2021 at 5:09 pm

Anyone who has ever been to a Canadian hospital knows about the waits for you to come on here and say data doesn’t support it clearly means you are not from here or have not used our health care system before

  27. David Johnson on November 26, 2021 at 5:10 pm

So it’s a misconception that only elective surgeries have problems. Non-elective surgeries are usually not covered by the system. If you dont pass a credit check, you dont get the life saving treatment. Specialist care also isnt covered, so for most non elective surgeries you’ve already paid a considerable amount in getting to that point, then you are faced with many premium options that most have to turn down, including your own hospital room.

I mean you start off the video talking about Medicare, but fail to point out Canada’s system was invented for the exact same reason, the difference being we eventually argued that regular doctor visits would prolong ones life and the medical spending would pay for itself. This has shown to be as wrong as it gets, as it had the opposite effect, which also meant it really didnt pay for itself.

Considering the majority of any given persons medical bills will be in their senior years, it makes no sense to give a blank cheque to every citizen to recieve healthcare It doesnt lead to people being responsible, all the studies show they tend to be irresponsible with their health and/or their healthcare providers.

It means everyone has to pay for the smokers, and the smokers dont want to quit because they have to pay anyways. Of course they wont actually get lung transplants, but the taxpayers will front the bill for the altered mustard gas used in chemo.

  29. Random Dude on November 26, 2021 at 5:12 pm

Our system isn’t perfect 🇨🇦 but it’s very helpful if god forbid you have a major medical emergency. It’s expensive to govt however and tax payer paid. In addition we often do wait months for diagnostic testing.

Having herpes is not the end of life there is a treatment that can get rid of Genital herpes with traditional herbs from Dr Agbonifo. I was positive to this infection (HERPES) and I lost hope because I was outcast and rejected even by my closet friends. I searched on-line to know an enquirer cure for HERPES and I got a testimony posted by a patient on how she was cured from HSV by Dr. Agbonifo herbal product, So i decided to contact the same herbalist Dr. Agbonifo because i know that nature has the power to heal everything. i contacted him to know how he can help me and he told me never to worry that he will help me with the natural herbs created by God Almighty! After contacting him, he told me that the cure has to be prepared and he will send it to me via (UPS Delivery service) and unfortunately it got to me after 5 days! i used the medicine as he instructed me (MORNING and EVENING) and i was cured! it’s really like a dream but I am so happy now! That’s the reason I decided to also add more comments on Him so that more can be saved just like me! and if you need his help, you can email him on dragbonifoherbs@gmail.com or whats-app +23479034749874 …….

My grandfather has been in the hospital for 3 weeks and is projected to be there for another 6. A veritable army of nurses, doctors, physical therapists, and social workers are looking after him. When he went in, we thought that he may die soon or need to be placed in a long term care facility because his condition was so poor. We’re very relieved that he’s in fact going to be sent home with visits from nurses to check up on him. We’re very impressed with how much he’s improved. All of this is free and I just can’t imagine what would have happened to him if it weren’t. Feeling incredibly grateful right now

You need to wait for hours to get treated by someone. Dental , eye etc cost is very high and it’s not free. One of my friend broke his all fingers of one hand and when he went to hospital then they kept him waiting for 5 hours and when he got treated one of his fingers was also misaligned. He was from Ontario.

You failed to mention anything about Medicaid. It’s not just old people who get government funded health insurance. It’s also any low income people. I, along with around 80 million people in the US, have Medicaid and it is great. Free primary and specialty medical services + no wait times.

  46. Canada Goose on November 26, 2021 at 5:37 pm

American conservative people constantly conflate socialized medicine with single payer. We don’t have socialized medicine. Don’t listen to these "why socialized medicine in Canada doesn’t work" arguments. They are debunking a strawman that doesn’t exist here.
